Driver’s Licenses for International Drivers in St. Louis

Getting a driver license in America is key for international residents and citizens with driver’s licenses from other countries. In Missouri, you are able to use your international driver’s license for up to 90 days after entering the country, however you will be required to obtain a license issued by a state within the United States. The Driving Test

Our private driving lessons are a great way to get acquainted with Missouri roads. One of your great instructors can pick you up from your school, home or office for the exam. Our driving exams will teach you everything you need to know about driving in the states, such as; proper driving techniques, road signage and defensive driving. Our experienced training team are all background checked and are here to answer all of your driving questions. Our cars are mid-sized models with dual brakes for your safety. We also have $1 million insurance policies on all of our vehicles in the event of an emergency. For your convenience, driving lessons are offered Monday – Friday 8am – 8pm (except on observed holidays so be sure to check with us about scheduling your lessons).

What You’ll Need

To be able to obtain a United States Driver’s license there are a few documents that you will need:Driving lessons for international drivers

  1. Proof of Residency – You will need to establish residency in the state of Missouri within 90 days. To obtain a license you will have to provide proof of residency i.e., utility bill, etc. You are still able to drive with your international driver’s license within those 90 days as long as it is in English.
  2. Passport – At the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) you will have to show identification which will require a passport
  3. Immigration Status – You will have to prove that you are in The United States legally and to do so you will need to present a Visa and an I-95
