10 Questions to Ask a Driving School

When you research a St. Louis driving school, there are some questions you might ask:

  1. What kind of insurance do you carry?
We carry a $1 million insurance policy for each vehicle.
  1. Do I have to have my own car?
At Missouri Driving School, we offer a range of late model mid-sized cars for ease of handling and accelerated learning. Each car is equipped with dual-braking controls, and we use these cars in our driving instruction.
  1. Can I learn to drive on a Saturday?
Absolutely! Our Saturday hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. We offer driving lessons from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
  1. Do you work with international drivers who just need their Missouri license?
Our driver’s ed classes are great for learning to drive in Missouri. Driving in other countries can be quite different from driving in Missouri. One of our qualified driving tutors can be the difference between getting your Missouri driver’s license and walking.
  1. 10 Missouri Student Driving School QuestionsDo you work one on one or is this a group instruction service?
We only offer private lessons. We have found over our 40+ years of instruction that learning one on one is best for the student driver. Having only one student in the vehicle and being able to tailor our driving instruction to one student at a time allows each student to become the most comfortable and learn the most quickly.
  1. I’m more comfortable with a male or female instructor – can you schedule accordingly?
We have both male and female professional instructors available to teach you how to drive. We can schedule you with whichever gender of instructor you would like. Our goal is to provide you with the most stress-free learning experience.
  1. Do I need to come to you?
Our professional instructors drive our dual-braking cars to you where you are, whether that is at your work, school, or home for your lessons. We optimize your learning time by eliminating your need to get to us.
  1. How long have you been in business?
The Missouri Driving School started more than 40 years ago.
  1. Do your instructors pass background checks?
All our driving instructors are subject to intensive background checks that include drug screening and criminal history searches. We also guarantee no smoking in our training cars. Our instructors are dedicated to providing you with first-class driver’s education.
  1. What’s an ideal lesson length to expect?
All our lessons are about two hours long. We have found, over more than 40 years of driving instruction, that this is the optimal length of time for a driving lesson.
